Two months have passed in the recovery from a broken femur.  It has been a more impactful experience than I imagined it could’ve been in many ways.  Some things have been better and some things have been worse.  The daily changes create quite an unusual variety to the different states of being that go along with physical, mental and spiritual evolution.  The week put me in a bad place over Halloween, yet if the holiday had gone in my favor, I think I would have been quite happy to start November.  Instead I’m relieved to be passed the horrors of October, still dreading what could happen during the rest of the year.  Also I have a trip to Amsterdam and Paris in which I wrote about in a song for the first time (trip plans that is), tempting me to cancel and stay safe with idle hands.  Well hopefully I’m back to the minimum wage grind before then (or do I?).  A few entertainment items I jotted down that are still worth continuing, however I don’t know how I can revive some of them.  How many people experience this concept?  TV show seasons that define so much of your life for weeks and then start to die so rapidly.  A new character get introduced that we can’t listen to for one more line!  Video games you love for hours every day, suddenly get you completely too angry to play, bore us about its progress out of the blue or that they keep asking for unreasonable amounts of money to pass.  These are all the ones I finished, continuing or trying to keep going:

Disclosure Day (now on Peacock), Oppenheimer,  Saved by the Bell, The Good Place, Nashville, The Floor, Need for Speed No Limits, Total Battle, Monsters & Minions (now on Peacock, however saw it first in the theater), Orlando Magic games and Jacksonville Jaguar games.

Besides trying to stay sane at home and limited outings, I have added a few things to the music studio.  I was doing so much research and didn’t want to waste it, so I will be working for years trying to catch up from these months.  Another way to look at it though is capitalizing on time!  I have found a new interface (RME Babyface FS) and preamp (Golden Age Pre-73 JR MKII) as well as some better cables (Behringer and Gator) and pop guards (Gator).  I joined Taxi.com to submit music to opportunities and also entered several contests.
