Saving the Spirit of the EP
I’ve been using DistroKid to release all the albums so far this year. Love n War was removed from Apple’s services for an unknown reason as far as I’ve been notified, still the rest of the albums including that one on the other sites will remain up forever. I worked a little more to afford the “leave a legacy” option on four additional albums to the three I already added it to earlier. Then I was injured at work, so I’ve had more time to finish an EP from the next album which is a follow-up to Stint of Devotion. This mini-album called Buzzy EP was submitted to CD Baby on Tuesday. They take a bit more time sending stuff out to various sites, however I think they serve more outlets and hoping everyone will get more old-school culture in the way they do things. It’s seven songs filling up just over twenty minutes. Some of these songs I wrote while living in Gangnam, Korea and are treasures I’ve kept through homelessness and several international moves. There is one new one I wrote almost immediately after releasing Stint of Devotion. I was scared to start writing so fast, yet I was worried I wouldn’t get more ideas and I should seize every idea that presented a musical idea. I was almost in tears and feeling several other conflicting emotions simultaneously. Then I sent it to two of my friends after I recorded the first tracks before I moved the studio. I think they were speechless, however the drummer friend started identifying in the first person, so I guess he liked it enough to start running away with the song to make it his own. Hopefully they like their parts I had to make up on this work. I’ve posted notes on a couple of the other tunes on Instagram and YouTube, so I’ll stop there for now. Look for Buzzy EP in June I presume.
